Alba-Golden ISD offers a full day pre-k program.  Pre-kindergarten teaches important social, physical, emotional, and thinking skills while preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond. AGISD offers pre-k for students on two different bases: 1. Qualifying and 2. Tuition-based. All details are outlined on this website.

Please follow the steps below for completing the enrollment process for your pre-k student.

  1. Complete AGISD’s New Student Enrollment (found here). Please note: the first page you come to will allow you the opportunity to create a new account*. Once you have your account created, an email will be sent to you. Please use the information in that email to sign into your Skyward account and complete your online enrollment.

    • *If you are already an AGISD parent with a Skyward Family Access account, please click the "sign in" link to access your account and complete your online enrollment.

  2. Complete the (paper-copy) Qualification Packet (may be printed from here or picked up from the Alba-Golden Elementary office) and return to the elementary office.

  3. Submit the following Enrollment Documents (may be submitted to the elementary office in paper form with your Qualification Packet or via digital submission when completing your New Student Enrollment online):

  • Birth Certificate

  • Parent/Guardian ID

  • Social Security Card

  • Immunization Record (must be up to date to enroll in school)

  • Proof of Residence (water, electric, or gas bill with parent/guardian name and physical address visible)

  • Proof of Income Eligibility (if qualifying based on income)

Pre-k students are accepted on the following criteria:

1. Qualifying: Four (4) year old students who meet pre-k eligibility qualifications

2. Tuition-Based: Four (4) year old students who do not meet pre-k eligibility qualifications (based on availability & with $2,500 tuition fee)

For those students who do not meet state pre-k eligibility qualifications, available positions are filled according to the date that completed applications are received.  In the event that the program is deemed “full”, a wait list will be started also based on the date that completed applications are received.    Available openings may not be fully known until after the start of school.
