BOND IS NOT APPROVED
Alba-Golden Independent School District
Office of the Superintendent
May 2, 2026
Dear Alba-Golden Community,
On behalf of the Alba-Golden ISD Board of Trustees and myself, I want to sincerely thank our community for its participation in today’s bond election. While the bond proposition was not approved, we are deeply grateful for the time, consideration, and engagement shown throughout the process.
This effort represented months of thoughtful planning and community involvement. Our Panther Legacy Vision Team dedicated countless hours to studying our facilities and identifying priorities centered on the best interests of our students. Their work reflected a deep commitment to Alba-Golden ISD and the future of our children.
Our Board of Trustees approached this process with care, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility to our students, parents, staff, and community. The decision to call the bond was made after a thorough review of our facility conditions, enrollment trends, and program needs, always with a focus on providing the best possible learning environment for our students.
While today’s outcome was not what we had hoped for, our commitment to our students remains unchanged. We will continue to listen to our community, prioritize our facility needs, and plan for the future. We respect the voice of our voters and appreciate the trust placed in Alba-Golden ISD, each and every day.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and district.
Sincerely,
Dr. Shelby Davidson
Superintendent of Schools
