The 2024-2025 school year has been one of evaluating and polishing many policies and procedures at Alba-Golden ISD. As a result of this internal audit, we have recognized a need for cleaning up student records. Therefore, 𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐒𝐃 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, including both returning and new students, for the 2025-2026 school year.

- When filling out your returning student registration for 2025-2026, OR when enrolling a new student for 2025-2026, you will be asked to include a proof of residence.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞?
- a recent water, electric, or gas bill with a parent/guardian name and physical address visible

We were recently notified from Wood County Electric of power outages at AGISD and throughout the A-G community due to an issue with SWEPCO distribution lines. At this time, there is no estimate of when power may be restored. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, there will be NO SCHOOL today. Please stay safe and warm.
Due to the winter weather that has been forecasted for our area, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff, AGISD will be closed tomorrow, January 9, 2025. We will look forward to seeing everyone return to campus on Monday, January 13th.
We pray that each of our Panther families stay safe and warm during this time!

With the possibility of winter weather in the forecast, now is a great time to remind you where to find the latest updates on potential school delays or closures.

❄️ Make sure your contact information is updated in Skyward Family Access to receive any closure and delay notices via email.
If you do not see notication in any of these locations, classes will proceed as normal.

Just a reminder! Monday night, August 5th, is Meet the Teacher night at AGISD. Secondary campus will meet from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, while the Elementary will host their families from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

The AGISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 district calendar during Monday night's school board meeting. We are sharing it here for your convenience and planning purposes.

As we are well into the groove of this second semester of the year, we'd like to give a friendly reminder of our AGISD Dress Code:
🐾 No facial piercings(clear spacers are okay)
🐾 No ear piercings for boys (clear spacers are okay)
🐾 Skirts & shorts can be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee
🐾 No leggings/tights/spandex without a dress, skirt, or shorts that meet length requirements
🐾 No holes in the jeans above the knee
🐾 Shirts must have sleeves
🐾 No hair in the face and hair must be a natural color
🐾 Boys must be clean-shaven, and hair can not be longer than the shirt collar
We ask for your help in making sure that your student complies with our district's dress code. If they are out of the dress code, they could be subject to disciplinary action.
Parents and Guardians,
Tomorrow, January 17, 2024, Alba-Golden ISD will have a two-hour delayed start time. All bus routes will begin on a two-hour delay, and classes will start at 9:45 am.
Though most all roads are clear for travel, please do be mindful (and remind your student drivers) that icy patches may be encountered. Please be sure to give yourself plenty of time and be cautious for the safety of yourself and others!

Due to weather conditions, Alba-Golden ISD has been cancelled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
School officials will reevaluate tomorrow in order to make a decision regarding Wednesday.
